Shari Forst

Hi, I’m Shari Forst-my friends and family call me “Shaz”, I am a musician who plays the drums and bass guitar, and life long sports nut. I have been a fan of the New York Mets since 1977 when I was 10 years old, and a a fan of the Jets and Giants and NY Rangers since then too. One of my dreams was to become a rock star, but since that hasn’t happened yet I’m living my second dream of being a sports writer for pcpsports.com where I cover the NY Mets and the NY Jets.

Ryan Armbrust

Ryan Armbrust is a lifelong Oakland A’s fan. Born and raised in Nebraska, he chose the A’s as his team when he was four years old. He’s been following them as long as he can recall. For many years he attended spring training games in the Arizona Cactus League with his grandfather, which turned him on to following the sport closely. He played baseball until he entered high school, where he had to concentrate on more academic pursuits. He regularly travels to Kansas City and Chicago to watch baseball games at the MLB level, in addition to attending AAA and college games in Nebraska, including the annual College World Series.

Ryan is currently attending the University of Nebraska at Lincoln studying journalism. He aspires to simply write about baseball for a living, wherever that may lead him. After contributing to AthleticsNation.com beginning in 2004, he realized he wanted to fulfill his ambitions of sportswriting, after deciding against his previous majors of Mechanical Engineering and History.

Ryan currently also writes for and operates ThePastime.net, and covers the A’s for MostValuableNetwork.com and other sites.

He can be contacted at rarmbrust@gmail.com .

John Ryan

John Ryan is a relative new comer in covering sports. A graduate of Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton, FL his de facto writing resume includes several published poems and short stories for various literary magazines in the south Florida area, however he has no experience with sports. Ryan, an admitted sports junkie, has always preferred to write about sports, so pcpsports.com will be a refreshing experience for him. He typically wakes up an hour early for his “day job” in the marketing field so he can read all sports pages across the country to keep abreast of developing situations while gaining a local perspective on the stories. Ryan will cover all national topics, with a special concentration on Philadelphia sports (his hometown) and south Florida sports (his current residence). You can e-mail John @ Johnnyry129@aol.com and leave him with your opinions, qualms, corrections, or just heap praise on his journalistic talents.
